Katy Walsh

Katy completed an undergraduate degree in Genetics at the University of Glasgow, where she obtained an integrated masters (MSci). During this, she did a work placement at the University of Leeds in their Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine. She then completed a MRes at the University of Manchester in Cardiovascular Sciences, and is currently a 2nd year PhD student on the BHF 4-year PhD programme. Katy studies small artery function in Alzheimer’s Disease using ex-vivo calcium imaging and in-vivo laser speckle imaging.
