Ella is a Research Technician learning pressure myography and calcium imaging (using our spinning-disc confocal microscope). She will use these techniques to research the impact of amyloid-induced calcium waves in vascular smooth muscle cells to understand the mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s Disease. Ella completed her BSc(Hons) in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Manchester, followed by an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience from UCL. Outside of work, Ella spends time cooking, drinking coffee and walking with her miniature dachshund.
