Michelle Pawlowski

Michelle is a Research Technician investigating the role of amyloid binding in vascular smooth muscle cells in Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the role VSMC play in Alzheimer symptoms, such as incontinence. Her main techniques in the lab include immunohistochemistry and histological study to identify changes in amyloid binding to VSMC’s, as well as wire myography. Michelle obtained an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences (BSc) from Fordham University and completed a Masters in Neuroscience (MSc Distinction) at the University of Manchester. In her free time, Michelle enjoys painting for friends and improving her swim speed at the local aquatics centre.
